OK< It's time for me to get on this blog again and post something so that they don't delete me.

Who knows how to write something on here? 

I'm about ready to go to bed. I've been working on the grid. It's going to be pretty dumb/stupid this year. Oh well. 

I've been taking my pills, so my pain is repressed or muted. I still feel "bruises" where the sharp pain has been, but it's not bad at all. I hope it continues to be good after I quit the pills. 

Looking forward to seeing 1/2+ of you this week. And more of you at Xmas time.

I'm getting ready for some travel. Yipee! Will let you know in the near future.

It's bug time! I think I've outwitted the crickets this year. I hope so...maybe I'm speaking too early. I put sticky traps outside nearly every entrance. But, the little black flour bugs got into the cereal and crackers, so I had to throw much out and clean the cupboards. I heard that sage leaves helped control that problem, but maybe my sage leaves are getting old. :(

I'm harvesting sunflower heads for the seeds, and I have to hurry before the bugs take over them. Ug!

And, the other day I brought in a green bean with holes in it, and yuk, a caterpillar was coming out of one of them.

Yes, I can still get on this site....but I think blogs are just about dead these days.  Maybe some people still do them, but I think Twitter, FB and Instagram etc.. have taken over.

I think it's high time I added another note to this post, just to keep it alive.
We just returned from a wonderful trip to Bogota, Colombia. We are back in the chilly, rainy northeast, and there's still snow on the ground. And no tropical fruits. :(
It's nice to be home however.

I've been viewing many of the blogs of family members out west. I am speculating that people in the western culture are more likely to use the blogging format. It's more like online scrapbooking. And that is big out in the west.

Oh, sure, people out here do it as well, but not as avidly.

So, what subject would you blog about if you were to write something this week? The economy? The election? Ripe Peaches? What?

Here's mine:

I'm a little disappointed that my bat house has not attracted bats. It needs to be higher. But, how do I get it higher? I'm not going to risk life or limb (mine or anyone elses) to climb up higher. Where do I get a ladder that high? If it were on the street, maybe a fire truck could do it, but it's out on the lake, and I don't think any fire truck could get back in there.

Mosquitoes were out in droves this morning. I really could use a bat or two. Does anyone know if bats eat honeybees or butterflies. If I really did attract any bats, they might really cut into my butterfly hatching hobby. And if they eat bees, then there's no point of starting my bee colony over on the island. However, if I'm never going to get any bats, then those questions are moot, aren't they? :(

Today I'm listening to all the political talk after the Obama win in South Carolina. I guess there will never be a perfect person, but I'm having problems feeling really positive about anyone running. We'll see.
